How to reach B&B Vanessa House by public transport or by car

The location of B&B Vanessa House is strategic for those wishing to explore the Veneto region: located on the mainland, it sits at the heart of the transit hub between Venice, Padua, and Treviso. Using public transport to reach us is often the fastest way to avoid traffic.

1. Arriving by Train: Venezia Mestre

Venezia Mestre railway station is the primary connection point for our property.
  • High-Speed Trains: Frecciarossa and Frecciargento trains connect Mestre with major Italian cities such as Rome, Milan, Naples, and Florence.
  • Regional Trains: Frequent connections link Mestre to Padua and Treviso in approximately 15-20 minutes.
  • From the Station to the B&B: Once you arrive in Mestre, the property is easily accessible via the ACTV urban bus network serving the local area.

2. From the Airport to the B&B

The B&B is connected to the region's two airports via dedicated bus services toward Mestre:
  • Marco Polo Airport (VCE): You can use the ACTV urban bus lines that run regularly to the mainland and Mestre station.
  • Treviso Airport (TSF): At the Arrivals Terminal, you can find information regarding shuttle buses that connect the airport directly to Venezia Mestre railway station.

3. Useful Tips: Getting around with the AVM Venezia Official App

To make your arrival and travel even easier, we recommend downloading the AVM Venezia Official App (available for Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS). It is the most comprehensive tool for managing local public transport.
How to find routes and schedules:
  • Trip Planner "Where do you want to go": By entering your departure and arrival points, the app calculates the best route including buses, trams, and waterbuses (vaporetti).
    • If your GPS is active, your current position is automatically set as the starting point.
    • You can filter results based on departure/arrival time, travel duration, number of transfers, or lowest price.
  • Checking Timetables: By following the path TRANSPORT -> TIMETABLES, you can view the schedules for all lines in transit.
    • With location services enabled, you will immediately see the vehicles arriving at the nearest stops.
Ticket Purchase and Activation: Through the app, you can also purchase travel tickets (such as the 75-minute ticket or multi-day passes).
  • Important: Tickets purchased in the app must be activated at least 3 minutes before boarding buses or trams.
  • To access waterbuses or turnstiles, the app will generate a dynamic QR Code to be scanned on the appropriate readers.
